Max is almost 3 weeks old, and we have been trying to schedule a newborn session with a local photographer, due to me winning a mini session a while back, and life has been getting in the way. We will have our session next week, so fingers crossed.
Normally we ask my SIL to take the pictures, because she has a great DSLR camera, has an eye for it, and likes to do it. She has 3 kids though, and one of them just had his b-day party today. Plus she made us a bunch of food last weekend. So, again finding time between our schedule, and hers, hasnt’ happened.
However, I have been itching to get Max’s baptism invites out ASAP, since it’s at the end of this month. Today, I asked Joe if he’d help me stage a home photo shoot with my “point & shoot” camera. He agreed, and we have some really fun ones to share.
**** On a side note, and because of the title, when we ordered the baptism invites, and picked them up, I was asked to show a photo release since I used a professional photo. I told them it was all me and the lady said I should start a business. I don’t think I’d go that far, but she still made my day. Hopefully, someday when I get a DSLR, I will actually take some pretty rad pictures. Till then though, here’s our mini-home session……..
**Ironically this first photo was just quickly snapped to check the amount of light I was getting.
It ended up being the one we used for his baptism invite.
The one above was the one I was going for. He’s mine, but I will still say A-dorable!
Below: In his Daddy’s Ball Glove, on a homemade blanket from his Nana. Inspiration came from Pinterest

Above.. Jack, being a good sport and pretending to sleep. Lukey was actually asleep, so I hope to get one of the 3 of them soon.
Above…. One I love, and the blanket was a gift from J’s parents.
Love the tushie one.
Well, that’s all folks. Hope you like them. :)

Like them? Um… I absolutely adore them! You truly have talent with that point and shoot of yours! Come take pics of my kids, mkay? You know, in all your free time
Those are awesome! The one of him in the glove is hilariously cute, and I really love the one of him and Jack (good acting big brother!). I don’t think you need a professional!
I LOVE them all but the one with Max and Luke is priceless.
You did THAT with a point and shoot??
Tell Joe to get on that DSLR.
LOVE the baseball one
So stinking cute!! I love them all. You did a fantastic job!
